Bexley Historical Society in Kent UK meets at The Huxtable Hall, St Martin's Church, Erith Road, Barnehurst, Kent DA7 6LE (near to Bexleyheath Bus Garage) at 7.45 pm for 8pm start.
Bexley Historical Society in Kent UK was established by history-loving citizens to, as part of our Constitution states "As a non profit organization to encourage an interest in both local, general historical and archaeological matters particularly those relating to the area within the boundaries of the London Borough of Bexley in the UK ."
The topics however do vary from places of local interest such as Hall Place Mansion, Crossness and The Red House, which was once owned by William Morris, to national treasures like The People's Palace in Glasgow and The History of British Broadcasting.
There is a strong bias towards the South East obviously, and we have heard about the lives of local celebrities Charles Darwin and Charles Dickens as well as lesser known persons like Thomas Dinwiddy, a local Architect

With parking and disabled access, as well as excellent tea or coffee and biscuits, a very warm welcome awaits all our visitors, who we hope soon become friends and regular visitors.
Please note on some Mondays parking may be more difficult but we do delay the start of our talks to allow for this occasional busyness.
